![]() ![]() As an out of state buyer, I expected a title company to appreciate the differences between my purchase and the ones they do for in state clients. Finally, another glitch required the title company to send us a check, which arrived promptly, but was make our incorrectly to a trust that will hold the title, not us, so cannot be cashed! Not sure how many mistakes any person can tolerate with a large transaction, but one star is generous!New homeowner in Denver, despite efforts of an incompetent title companyĭisappointing experience. No idea any problems until the notary came to our house in ********* to close remotely.Even through all the mortgage and hundreds of entries had our names correct, this title company spelled one of our names wrong on EVERY signature line of 92 pages! Since we were closing on a Friday afternoon, and we dont have any legal paper in our printer, we couldnt reprint out the 184 pages with the correct name (very common name BTW, just added a typo B into the middle of a normal name), so had to manually cross out every time and initial. Then, the title company informed our notary at closing that they had not received the wired transfer that we were told went through 2 days prior! After being assured there was no funds transfer, we frantically called all the people on our end to see what happened, and finally were able to confirm the transfer went through just as expected, but found miraculously when our finance people showed their confirmations. This title company was selected by the seller of the house we just bought in Denver. ![]()
